STANDARD OPERATING PROCEEDURES
You must follow all state and federal laws.
You must show due respect to all federal, State and North Carolina Minutemen
officials.
You must not display racism in all its different forms. We encourage the USA
flag and the North Carolina flag with every member.
You must act in a reasonable and calm way in all situations. There may be
aggressive agitators and North Carolina Minutemen will not respond to that. That
is exactly what they want.
North Carolina Minutemen are required to have a higher standard of behavior
in camp, in the brush, and in any nearby towns. We will not respond to remarks
or gestures. This may cause you to grind your teeth but you will not respond.
You must show common decency to all.
In North Carolina in order to carry a concealed weapon you must possess a
North Carolina concealed weapons permit or reciprocal privileges with another
state or when on private property. It stays concealed unless you fear for your
life or the life of another volunteer. It is recommended that all volunteer
members of the North Carolina minutemen possess a concealed weapons permit.
See all state gun laws at http://www.handgunlaw.us/
to check reciprocal states.
North Carolina Minutemen Patriots, is not a club or a militia; we are like
minded Americans assembling along the borders of the USA, working with other
Minuteman Project Chapters, to do the job our lazy and corrupt politicians will
not do.
Here in North Carolina, we will contact our politicians, the media and others
to get the Federal Government to enforce our immigration laws. When other
Minutemen Patriots, conduct operation along the USA borders, the North Carolina
Minutemen will be encouraged (and expected) to assist other Minutemen Chapters.
Anyone (who does not have a criminal record) believes in secure borders,
non-violence and is not a racist and can associate with us. Any willing person
may serve. Become a volunteer.
It is very important that all volunteers operate in a reasonable manner. We
are only spotters. No more than neighborhood’s watch while on the border.
North Carolina Minutemen in no way condones physical or verbal abuse.
Spotters will program their radios or cell phones to call the North Carolina
Minuteman communication center, when suspected illegal immigrants are spotted.
The communication center will inform the border patrol. North Carolina Minutemen
do NOT in anyway detain, threaten, or engage illegal immigrants. We spot them
and call it in.
Border patrol may ask us to move out of an area without some obvious reason
and WE DO THAT IMMEDIATELY. No argument. We are there to help, not make their
job more difficult.
All North Carolina Minutemen are responsible for their own correct behavior,
but if you see your neighbor doing something against our SOP, then it is your
duty to let an official know immediately. We cannot let the poor behavior of one
ruin the entire operation for all.
There maybe media there, you are welcome to speak with them, but THINK before
you speak.
Our intent is to back up the laws and law enforcement and never to violate
basic human rights or break local, state or federal laws.
Minutemen will not leave any trash. We will pick up after ourselves at all
times. Carry a garbage bag with you.
If you still wish to associate with us as a volunteer observer or as a back
up worker, writer assistant, communication, etc., please fill out the volunteer
form.
Notice: By filling out the volunteer form you give the North Carolina
Minuteman Patriots permission to investigate your background, character,
honesty, integrity as well any possible police record that you may have. You
also acknowledge that if you violate any rules of conduct you maybe removed
immediately.
Most of our operations will be conducted on private property. You will also
have to sign a release form for the North Carolina Minutemen and any landowner
who allows us on their property.
If you’re tired of illegal immigrants preying on Americans resources, you
can help, become a volunteer, you can do something. Let’s work
together and require our politicians to enforce our laws.
